GHANA


Ghana, the land of cocoa, lies in Western Africa on the Gulf of Guinea. This country was known as the ‘Gold Coast’ in the past and borders the countries Ivory Coast, Burkina Faso and Togo. In Ghana, the majority of the population is connected to cocoa beans and the cocoa industry one way or another. On the coast you will find beaches with luxurious resorts, in the inland you will mainly find grasslands and forests, that thank their appearance to the tropical climate.

Climate/ Business climate:
Ghana has a tropical climate with variable temperatures. The dry season starts in the end of August and ends approximately in February. In most areas, March is the warmest month and August the coldest. The average yearly temperature is approximately 26° C. The minimum temperature is approximately 18° C, the maximum temperature is about 45°C.

When doing business in Ghana it is important to realize that personal contact is very important, sometimes it is even more important than the price of the product that you are offering. Even though the Ghanaians are late for appointments now and then, it is advisable for foreigners to always be on time.
