Angola: big plan for coffee production

The Angolese government wants to stimulate the local production of coffee for the next four years.  Because of this decision Angola  must become part of the  world top coffee producers again for the first time in 30 years. 

Although the export  of coffee only amounted to 6.000 tons in 2008, the government wants this amount to grow to 50.000 tons in 2013.

The plan contributes to the diversification of the economy. Local coffee producers should receive training and learn new techniques. At the same time, new coffee plants have to b e used and new machinery and other tools have to b e purchased to increase the coffee production.
