The booming expat world in Asia is growing. Sizeable companies from the whole world are setting themselves up in this beautiful continent for strategic reasons. Why? Here is where it is happening.
It is clear that Asians attach a lot of value to personal contact. This means that they will not be quick to place an order with someone they do not personally know. A very good reason, therefore, to study this area in more detail. Literally because LEX steeped itself in the culture of doing business in Asia. Our team left for Singapore and Beijing at the start of October to personally introduce LEX and to test the market.
A world of difference
Singapore is a finished product: an oiled machine, fit to be travelled across easily and strongly service orientated. Beijing, on the other hand, made us sit up and pay attention. Without some basic knowledge of the Chinese language it is difficult to do business there. An inventive nature, therefore, is a requirement to live in this fantastic city full of culture and cultural differences.
More than enough challenges!
New contacts, interesting companies, motivated expats and job vacancies that will challenge and fulfil anyone. It was a successful trip. LEX’s ambition is to conquer Asia and we wish to further develop our network to include other countries as well as Singapore and Beijing. Opening up new horizons is, therefore, our motto.
